Artist Series , this year’s blend is comprised of four different coffee farms producing exceptional Kona Coffee.  All the farms are located in the Kona coffee belt, growing coffee on the slopes of Hualalai (8,271 ft)  One farm certified organic; the coffee cherry from this farm brings nice acid and fruit to the blend.  Another farm has been in the family for Generations, and the coffee is all harvested by the family, the quality is exceptional.  The coffee cherry has a wonderful dried fruit cherry aroma, with sweet finish.  Another farm from a long time Kona family brings nutty, tobacco aroma, this family can also be found giving tours in a Historical Outrigger in Kealakekua Bay.  The final farm is our own Nolyssa farm, the coffee cherry giving chocolate and citrus notes with smooth sweet finish.  All the coffee was dried both Natural and wet milled without fermentation in water.  

The label as described by the artist Norm" Somewhere secluded on the Big Island of Hawaii lies a white sandy alcove along a stretch of old lava flows, with a majestic snow-capped Mauna Kea towering in the distance (13,803’). A Carta Coffee Merchants mug is half-buried in the sand…and it looks as if Pork Chop the farm cat has been here."  When I first saw the art that Norm had produced my mind went to the magical and beauty of the island.
